Coronavirus (Covid-19) - Advice for Residents

Soho Housing is continuing to operate and is offering all services. However, following government advice on Covid-19 (coronavirus), we will not carry out home visits or offer any face to face meetings until further notice - and our staff are working remotely. This to minimize risk to both our residents and our staff. We understand these are challenging times and will do everything we can to offer our services and keep residents informed. We will update these guidelines whenever advice changes.

Our office is closed until further notice. You can contact us by phone (020 7557 7400) or email Customer Services or Housing - please contact us by email rather than post whenever possible.

Our services will be offered as follows (until we receive different advice):

Repairs

Our contractors are carrying out all repairs. Please do allow access to our contractors if repairs are needed. If you prefer, you should stand in another room once you have let contractors in. Our contractors have assured us their operatives are taking extra precautions around health and hygiene. You can report a repair here

Works to make your home safe

Contractors will continue to carry out works to make your home safe (e.g. gas and electrical safety tests). Please do allow access to ensure safety works are carried out.

Diagnostics, survey work and post inspections

Whenever possible our staff will carry out diagnostics, survey works and post inspections remotely (e.g. by carrying out desktop assessments based on photos, or via phone calls with residents).

Rent, service charge and arrears matters

For the safety of our residents and our staff we will not offer home or office meetings to discuss rent, service charge or arrears issues. We will deal with these matters via phone, email or letter until further notice. If you are worried about paying rent or would like any advice or signposting, contact our housing team. You can find more information on ways to pay rent or on debt/arrears advice here.

Tenancy matters (e.g. services, ASB)

For the safety of our residents and our staff we will not offer home or office meetings to discuss tenancy-related issues. We will deal with these matters via phone, email or letter until further notice.

Viewings & Sign-ups

We are continuing to arrange viewings and sign-ups and have been trialling ways of carrying out more of these services remotely.

Estate Inspections

Our housing team are beginning to carry out some estate inspections in the coming weeks, where safe to do so. Visits will start with fire safety inspections and estate inspections where priority issues have been identified.

Resident Engagement and Public Meetings

We won’t be holding any public meetings until further notice for the safety of all residents and staff. We are currently looking at how we can carry out some of our usual resident engagement virtually.
